Bring water and sun protection since shade is limited. The small parking lot can also fill up quickly. So, plan to arrive early if you want a spot on the beach or in the parking lot.

Do keep in mind that access to Playa Coral can be tricky since there’s a steep, narrow path down from the main road. So, comfortable shoes and a moderate level of fitness are recommended.
The last time I was here, I actually went to Playa Bacocho and then walked to Playa Coral from here. I had to trek across some rocks, but it wasn’t too terrible.
4. Playa Zicatela

If you want to participate in the turtle release program, it’s best to check the schedule with local organizers, as releases usually happen around 5:00 pm.
I tried to visit around 4:30 pm, and they had run out of turtles. So, you also may want to call on noon that day to see if they have turtles left.
You also 100% do not need to book a tour to do a turtle release. Just show up and pay around 400 MXN per person.

That being said, it’s definitely not my favorite beach in the area since many motor boats sit on the sand here, detracting from the overall beauty.
